For years, Fords F-Series trucks has been the best-selling truck in the U.S. with the Chevrolet Silverado coming in second and Ram placing third. And usually, Ram ends up placing a distant third. Today, things have changed. In the 2019 model year, well, the distant third spot switched hands. Today, Ram trucks are firmly in the number 2 slot. With the help of Flagler Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we’ll take a look at some of the details that catapulted the Ram truck line into that spot.

Towing – When it comes to its towing ability, the 2020 Ram 1500 has the goods to impress. When equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi eTorque V8 engine, the Ram 1500 can pull up to 12,750 pounds.
Touchscreen – Ram has blessed the 1500 pickup with an available 12” touchscreen. This is feature has been enthusiastically received.

Base engine – Many buyer choose to stick with the base engine due to financial reasons. Thankfully, that is no issue for Ram 1500 buyers. The Ram 1500’s standard 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque fits the bill.  According to the EPA, the rated mileage with the base engine is excellent coming in at 20/25 mpg city/highway.

More Doors – For those that need to carry more than two passengers, Ram has it covered with the 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab and Crew Cab models!

Plush amenities – The 1500 top trims turn the luxury meter up to high, adding amenities such as chrome exterior accents, power-retractable side steps, and deluxe leather upholstery. With models like the 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab, you’ll get amenities that make for a very unique truck.

Smooth – The average American spends roughly 200 hours per year driving to work. One thing that can make a long commute more bearable is a smooth ride, like the one that the Ram 1500 pickup provides.

Driver-assist – The driver-assist technology lineup includes features like adaptive cruise control, a forward collision warning system (with automatic emergency braking,) a lane-departure warning system, and self-parking technology.

Comfy seats

People usually associate comfortable seats with luxury sedans. Fortunately, comfortable seats are part of the package with the 2020 Ram 1500.

Passenger Leg Room – in 4 door trucks, passengers are often deprived of generous legroom. Not with the Ram 1500 Quad Cab and Crew Cab models, the rear seats are complemented by generous amounts of legroom.
