I’ve never owned an iPhone. That said, I’ve had extensive experience with them in the past, and I have to admit; I like them. Still, are they really all they’re cracked up to be? Sure, they were a great invention when they first came along, but there’s a lot of competition on the market now. Why do people continue to buy them year after year? Let’s discuss.
As I’ve already mentioned, I’ve had extensive experience with these phones over the years. I’ve seen the reactions to them first-hand and heard all sorts of reasons for why people decide to purchase them. In general, it all comes back to one thing: the look of them. People look at a list of phones and pick out the iPhone. Why is that? Well, iPhones have never sacrificed quality unless you look at some of the lower-range models. They always look incredibly elegant; perfect for business users or people who want to be able to show off. Hold one in your hand, and you’ll see what I mean.
The Best In The Biz
Apple is recognized as one of the biggest companies in the world. The company is worth billions, and Apple stock news is often impressive. It’s no surprise why that is. All of their products are seen as the ‘best in the biz’ by many people. Want to buy a phone? There’s the iPhone. Want to buy a tablet? There’s the iPad. Apple is somewhat the pioneers of this sort of technology. “But wait!”, I hear you cry, “Microsoft did tablets well before Apple ever did!” That’s true, but Microsoft never managed to create the same sort of impression with their initial attempts. Apple are great at creating products that will attract consumers instantly.
But What About The Price?
iPhones are expensive things. In fact, they’re almost always the most expensive product on the market when it comes to phones, but they still sell in high numbers. Why is that? Well, it’s a combination of things. The most important aspect of why people buy iPhones is because of consumer loyalty. These things have been around for a long time now, but consumers still love them. Apple is very careful not to sacrifice quality. As a result, it leaves consumers feeling like there’s no substitute for the iPhone, and they’ll pay anything to keep owning one.
We’ve already touched on this briefly, but we’re going to take another quick look at the subject. Apple innovated in so many areas at the right times but did it in a consumer-friendly way. They started with the iPod. Remember that? It changed the way we’d think about portable music consumption forever! Then, it was the iPhone, which changed the way we’d think about smartphones forever. Finally, it was the iPad, which gave birth to a whole new way of accessing technology on a portable scale. You could argue that no one has been more innovative than Apple in the past twenty years.
So there you go! Whether you’re a fan of the iPhone or not, they clearly aren’t going away any time soon!
