The worst thing about planning a vacation is how long it takes. You spend hours researching your destination. Then you have to find flights. If the flights are too expensive, it’s back to the drawing board. Next up, trying to find a hotel. Not to mention planning all the day trips and excursions. The thought of it alone is making us feel exhausted. The good news is, you can plan a vacation in no time at all. Here’s how to do it in under 30 minutes.

The Destination

Be a little bit adventurous when it comes to your destination. You’ll find that it will take a lot less thought, and you’ll probably enjoy it more. Grab yourself a wall map and a dart. Simply throw the dart and book a flight to wherever it lands. As long as it’s not Syria! You can also do this by closing your eyes and running your finger over a spinning globe. It doesn’t get much more adventurous than picking a destination at random. If you’re not too keen on this idea, then let the airlines dictate to you instead. You can find a ton of last minute deals through various flight booking websites. Simply pick whichever one takes your fancy. Not only will this save you time, but you’ll save some money too.

How many of us spend hours looking through reviews? Trying to find the hotel that doesn’t have someone complaining about something. News flash! That’s never going to happen. In the end, we tend to settle for the one that doesn’t seem all that bad. Well, not bad for the money anyway. You can book a vacation much quicker if you don’t bother with any of this. After all, people got by without TripAdvisor in the past. Simply download an app that lists accommodation in your area. Close your eyes and scroll down. Say stop and open those eyes. Where are you going to stay? Looks great! If it really does look awful or is out of your budget, you can repeat this process. It’s still a lot quicker than looking through thousands of reviews.

The Itinerary

Hopefully, you’ve now got flights and accommodation booked. How long did that take you? 10 to 15 minutes, maximum. Next up, it’s time to plan what you’re going to be doing on your holiday. Some people find that they overplan their vacation. They then don’t get to enjoy it as much. As you can tell, we’re not huge fans of planning. Not when you can have such an adventure if you’re willing to be a bit more open. Of course, it can be dangerous in some countries not to plan ahead. This is why we’ve left a little bit of time at the end for your itinerary. Firstly, buy a map of your vacation destination. Next, look up some fun activities that you want to try out. Simply make a mark on the map where each of the sights are. You can now plan your vacation accordingly, based on where everything is. Do everything in order of distance, so that you make the most out of your time.

Phew! Are you all done? By now, you should have an entire holiday planned and booked. And it took you less than 30 minutes. Which means you’ve got more time to get excited about that ultimate vacation. Enjoy!
