It’s nearly summer, which means that it’s time to pack that sun protection, whack on those shorts and head out into the sun! That being said, choosing a holiday destination is difficult, year after year. There are literally thousands of options at your disposal, each with their own pros and cons.

You may have settled on a country or continent, but that isn’t the end of your decision making process. You have to choose something to do within that place, and that can be just as hard. If you’ve settled on Africa – and good choice, by the way – then your options are near limitless. It’s home to some of the warmest climates and densest wildlife preserves on Planet Earth, with dozens of large cities to boot.

Volunteering

Volunteer holidays are becoming more and more popular every year, and Africa is arguably the best place to experience them. Africa is associated with animals and poor villages, so the opportunities for volunteering are ripe. If you choose to volunteer in Africa, you’ll be gaining a lifelong memory and lifelong experience. It’ll be very warm, and very thrilling, and you’ll get to see the world as you’ve never seen it before.

Safari And Wildlife

Africa is known for its wildlife, and there’s arguably no better place on Earth to witness everything nature has to offer. The best place in Africa to get a taste of this wildlife is the Kruger National Park, in northeastern South Africa.

If you’re looking for the ‘Big 5’ then you’re in the right place here. The Kruger Park is home to large quantities of leopards, buffalos, elephants, lions and rhinos. You’ll be able to see these creatures up close – but don’t get too close! Some of them bite. There are also zebras, and over 517 species of bird. If you want to get up close and personal with a whole host of different wildlife, then Africa, and the Kruger Park, is the holiday for you.

Just make sure you pack for warm weather; the climate here is subtropical.

The Beaches Of Mauritius

No holiday would be complete without beaches, and Mauritius has them in spades. Whether you want to go snorkeling, swimming or just lie on a beach, Mauritius has you covered. There’s the Grand Baie, perfect for watersports fanatics. There’s the Belle Mare Plage, a 10 km sandy white beach that’s beautiful to look at and explore. All in all, there’s something for everyone here, and you can’t go wrong with any choice.

The Capital!

Cape Town, on the southwest coast of South Africa, is one of the country’s three capitals. While the story behind these three capitals is interesting in its own right, Cape Town is definitely the most appealing city out of the three.

It’s on the coastline, and that means it’s packed with gorgeous views of the blue ocean. It’s the third most populated urban area in the country, so it’s packed with clubs, bars and restaurants. If you value your technological comforts and want to have them abroad, then Cape Town is your best bet. It’s as close to a massive city as you can get!

So, whether you want to enjoy more time away each year or are quite content with just one holiday, Africa could be the destination you seek. Happy holidays!
