I left the village of Hendecourt les Cagnicourt at 27 years old, the village I have grown. Young I have studied World War I at school and have gone to Upton Wood Cemetery. I also used to catch newts in the wood next to the cemetery. Sometimes I stopped myself in the cemetery to remember.
Each time I gone over there, Upton wood cemetery was always perfectly maintained.

This is where my great-uncle is buried. We will be visiting it later this month (September, 2010). Thank you for this photograph.
